Young Scholars on Theoretical and Applied Linguistics: Research Projects

The present volume is a collection of twelve papers, which have been prepared by thirteen young scholars, whose scientific activities are oriented towards broadly understood theoretical and applied linguistics.Yet, first, it is necessary to explain the term young scholar, which appears in the title of the volume. Therefore, by the term young scholar is meant a person who has already been involved in his/her PhD studies in the field of linguistics, or has already obtained the degree of PhD in linguistics. That is why, the explanation of the term simultaneously advocates the second part of the title i.e. research projects. All the articles which are presented in this volume grew out of the scientific interests of the authors and present the results of the linguistic research which, on the one hand, reflects the authors’ specialization in the area of linguistics and, on the other, demonstrates different directions of the development of contemporary linguistic studies in Poland, as the authors of the contributions represent different research centers throughout the country.
